How to Apply
Although we usually have a waiting list by September 1st, please call to check for openings.
Please enclose the following with your application:
- A $25 application fee.
- A color photo of yourself.
- A black and white copy of driver's license, state photo I.D., or passport.
- A note on a prescription pad or letterhead from your physician stating that s/he has seen you, you appear to be free from contagious disease, and in good physical health to give and receive massage therapy.
- Two letters of recommendation addressed to the school, signed and dated recently - these cannot be from spouses or family members.
- A copy of your high school diploma or college transcript. If you are still in high school, a copy of your transcript or report card. It does not have to be "official."

- A letter of intent - use the following guidelines:
Address the items below, writing at least one paragraph about each. Submit this with your application, and feel free to add anything that you think will help us get to know you better. Please write a minimum of one page and a maximum of four.
- Introduce yourself and describe your background.
- What brings you to massage training?
- What is your experience with massage?
- What major life changes will you have to make to take this program?
- Describe your willingness to accept constructive correction.
- What will you do with your training? Where would you like to work?
- How do you see your role in improving the field of massage?
- What do you hope to get from this training?
- If an I.N.T. graduate(s) recommended this program please mention who and when. A recommendation letter from that graduate is helpful if they know you well.
- A master agreement, and insurance form will be mailed to you upon receipt of your complete application pack. Return the master agreement, and initial tuition payment by mail; as they are all necessary to complete your enrollment process. Mail your insurance form directly to the American Massage Therapy Association with the $99.00 fee only after you are formally accepted.
- The school reserves the right to request additional information or documents. Failure to respond to such a request by drop date may cancel enrollment.
Admission Process and Requirements
Students must be physically able to walk and move their torso, and be emotionally mature enough to perform massage therapy. Students still in high school or home school and persons under 18 need interviews with school authorities and parents. INT will confirm your admissions by phone, and reserves the right to ask questions and interview.
